Useful Pond Info

Amazing Stats: April 22, 2019
Did you know the body of a tilapia is .008% phosphorus and .02% nitrogen?

To date, 15,575 pounds of breeding tilapia have been harvested from our lakes. The cost to remove the 124.6 pounds of phosphorus and 311.5 pounds of nitrogen by other means would have been $300 per pound for phosphorus and $150-200 per pound for nitrogen. By harvesting tilapia, EVMA has removed $84,105 - $99,680 of nutrients from the ponds at NO cost.
